History;
Originally this Porsche 356 (Super 75Pk) with chassis number 111366 was delivered in Germany by the Fa.Rittersbacher (April 1960) to its first American owner who took this 356 to the USA.
In 2009 this 356 was exported to the UK, and then came to the Netherlands in 2010. (22-03-2011 Dutch registration).
In the USA the wheel arches at the rear were modified (beaten out, rolled).
In the period 2010-2011 this 356 was completely overhauled and converted to an ‚Outlaw‚ version in the Netherlands.
Bodywork;
The general condition is very good, the original bumper penetrations are welded shut, the wheel arches at the rear are ‚beaten out‘ to be able to mount (possibly) wider tires. The bottom is original and hard.
The clearances of the doors and lids are neat.
2 leather rally closing straps are mounted on the front lid. The rally stickers on the bodywork can be removed if necessary. The engine cover is equipped with louvers as was used on the 356 Carrera GT.
The color is ‚Elfenbein‘ (Ivory) and has a beige tint, it suits the 356 nicely.
The paint code is 6004 and is the original color.
Wheels-Tires-Suspension;
The original drum brakes on this 356 B have been replaced at the front and rear by disc brakes from a Porsche 356 SC. Koni classic shock absorbers have been mounted. The lightweight rims, including the spare wheel, are from the Porsche 944Turbo. During major maintenance in 2022, all bearings, brake pads, and rear hubs were replaced and 5 new tires were fitted (Continental CT22 Contact 165/80R15 87).
Interior;
The interior is neat, carpet is of good quality in a beige color with 2 beige floor mats from ‚Çocomats USA‘. The bucket seats have a beautiful fabric upholstery. 4-point safety belts have been fitted.
A Nardi sports steering wheel has been fitted.
In 2023, the headliner was replaced and new front and rear window rubbers were fitted.
Engine and gearbox;
Due to a defect, the original gearbox was replaced in 2015 by a newer type of gearbox from an SC Type 741. The original ‚matching number‘ super 75 hp engine was replaced in 2022 by an engine of the Type 616/40 (Porsche 912) with number 4093384 from 1968 and has 95 hp.
The carburetors (Zenith) were completely overhauled in 2022.
An electronic ignition from ‚123ignition‘ was installed.
The 356 is equipped with stainless steel from supplier ‚Vintage Speed‘ and contains a removable silencer to enable you to adjust the sound.
The original (Matching Number) ‚Super‘ B engine of 75 hp with number 86335 is supplied separately and is complete but has a defect. An increased oil temperature has been observed. Engine runs freely.
The engine will have to undergo a complete inspection/overhaul before it can be used again. The compression on the cylinders is good.
Electrical system;
This 356 is equipped with a 12V system, Optima dry cell battery, 2 high beams of the brand ‚Marchall‘ are mounted on the front.
