Porsche 911 L
Highlights
- Tangerine (6809) paintwork
- documented 51,500 miles
- black leather interior
Now available from CPR Classic is this stunning 1968 Porsche 911L painted in its factory correct Tangerine (6809) over a black leather interior. The car was an original black plate California car until 2015 that has only covered a documented 51,500 miles since new. The car’s black plates have been retained. This 911L is all numbers-matching including engine, transmission and color combinations. The car remained with its original owner for two years before being sold to its second, long-term owner who kept the car from 1970 through 2004. The car was properly placed in extended storage in 1974 and was kept hidden away for 30 years until 2004 when the second owner sold it to the third owner, who promptly commissioned a sympathetic restoration.
The sympathetic restoration of this 911L included a correct repaint in its factory Tangerine. The car has never suffered from rust damage and only very minimal bodywork was performed prior to the repaint. The respray was performed following a nearly complete disassembly which included a complete exterior disassembly and powertrain removal.
The car’s undercarriage is all original with factory undercoating and a correct black finish throughout. The car has never had any metal work or panel replacement and it is clear from the undercarriage’s presentation that this 911 never saw weather after restoration and was expertly stored and lovingly cared for.
