This ’71 S is a car that has been cared for by CPR for nearly a decade with several different collector clients. We first purchased the car in 2011 as an outstanding original example and performed a light reconditioning before selling the car to one of our best clients in Phoenix Arizona. The car lived with this client for several years before we re-purchased and sold it to a US Naval Captain in San Diego, another longtime CPR Client. This owner enjoyed the car for several more years until the car was traded back in on a late-model 911. The car was then sold to its most recent owner in 2015, a Texas collector that drove the car on occasion and continued to maintain it to a very high level.
CPR Classic re-acquired the car last year and we have since performed a major cosmetic restoration including a complete exterior repaint in it’s correct tangerine. The car also received extensive brightwork, new chrome, weather stripping, and all new rubber throughout bringing this 911S to the cosmetic level near to that of our Concours restorations.
This 911S is a car that has always been highly cared for and is a very original, completely rust free example throughout. The car retains it’s original floor pans and has never suffered from corrosion of any kind.
Another notable accolade that this car possesses is that it was driven and autographed by famed Porsche Factory Race Driver Vic Elford years back, and the car still retains his autograph in the engine bay to this day.
The car’s original optional equipment included:
-US Equipment
-Blaupunkt Radio “Frankfurt”
-Air Conditioner
-Tinted Glass All Around
-Dunlop Tires
This 911S is an exceptional example in every regard. It is fully sorted and ready to be driven, shown, and enjoyed for thousands of worry-free miles to come. Long-hood Porsche 911S cars have seen a massive rise in value over the last decade, and this example serves as an excellent investment grade 911 in a very sought-after color combination.
