PORSCHE 993 Carrera 4 Convertible

This is one of only 1284 examples of the 3.6l version produced, making it a very rare car.

The car is originally from California, where it was first registered. It changed owners once in the USA, after which it was auctioned off and sold on to a German dealer, where I purchased the vehicle in 2019, as the third owner.

While the vehicle was in a miserable state, not well kept, run down interior, and scratches all over the body, it also presented a perfect base for a full refurbishment, without any accidents as well as absolutely no rust.

It took one year to finish this project, and the result is visible on the photographs provided. It was registered again in 2020, and I have been enjoying the car since, running it now for 3600km. It is driven on a regular basis, on dry days.

The following improvements were made to get it to its current state:

Engine removal, servicing & exchanging parts at an official Porsche Service center.
New interior, including new leather and original upholstery ordered from Germany.
Cleaning procedure via expensive method dry ice blasting.
Removal of old paint and repainting at an official BMW Service
Hand cleaning various parts, as well as refurbishing or exchanging for new parts
Galvanizing of many details back to its original state with the original color
New convertible top as well as interior lining
Convertible top: new engines, control module and interior trim
and much more

The restoration was finished with a professional under-body sealant to keep the restored appearance for many years to come. A Carfax Report where the full history as well as the mileage is available. Working with only original parts, alone these invoices exceed 25 000 euro, including things such as a new suspension, clutch, windshield, rims, electrical modules, and much more. An excel spreadsheet is available and lots more photos. The original odometer is sold with the car, in order to be able to prove and show the total mileage of the vehicle. After the refurbishment, the new odometer started at 0km, as a new, European unit was installed.
