On a scale of 1 to 10, this German-delivered Porsche 911 Carrera 4S earns at least 8.5 points. For comparison: the car is in new condition with 10 points. It is so beautiful. Also nice: the history is present and the original books have a permanent place in the glove compartment from the start. Design & equipment
The 996 Carrera 4S is closer to a Turbo in appearance than any other Elfer. Wheels in size 18 inch (Turbo design), bumpers, side skirts and even the exhausts are copied directly from the blown 911. The typical Turbo rear spoiler is missing, but it is also sensitive to taste. Instead, the 4S stands out with a red band between the taillights; this revives old times, very beautiful!
The equipment is also something to warm up for: leather upholstery with built-in seat heating, climate control, cruise control, CD changer, parking sensors, alarm class 5; in this Porsche you are just as comfortable as sporty!
Technic
The Porsche 996.2 is a tentative evolution of the 996.1, but no less striking. Under the skin, the facelift version progressed well, visually the modified headlight units and bumpers are particularly noticeable. Top versions such as this Carrera 4S and also the Turbo (S) are only delivered in this new look. In fact, the Turbo was the basis of the facelift!
In 4S trim, the 996 delivers an impressive 320 horsepower. The 3.6 liter 6-cylinder boxer engine therefore takes just over 5 seconds to complete the 0-100 km / h sprint. The top speed is 280 km / h. And trust me: that’s not only fast, it also feels fast. The experience of such a 996 is very underestimated, while the quality is many times higher than that of its predecessor (s). Sounds like the ideal sports car, doesn’t it?
Points of attention: light signs of wear on the exterior such as some stone chips, and the interior such as entry tracks. Left side skirt differs slightly due to incorrect jacking up in the past.
