In the 911 range, the 996 Turbo will have been talked about. If it was considered a bit bland at the time, the 996 generation of the Porsche 911 was betting on a calmer and modernized design, consensual on all markets. It had to be consistent with the entire range whose entry point was the Boxster. The turbo version will therefore benefit from special treatment.
More body-built than the standard versions, equipped with air vents, in particular scoops for the very useful rear brakes, it does not have the racing clothes of its predecessors because it was designed as a high-performance GT and not like a “tracker”.
It is today, some twenty years later, that the 996 Turbo and its FLAT 6 with 3.6L displacement, accompanied by its 6-speed manual gearbox, is living its second youth. Formerly decried, it is finally appreciated at its fair value.
Conferring a certain comfort, it still allows driving at a (very) sustained pace thanks to the force of the breath of its 2 turbos allowing it to reach 420 horsepower, and this in all weather conditions thanks to its 4-wheel drive system.
The copy that we present to you today, in its Arctic Silver Metallic dress, is of French origin, leaving the dealership in September 2001. Having known 4 owners during its career, it will always have benefited from meticulous maintenance at a Porsche Center or a specialist. The options fitted to this car are as follows:
