Porsche Boxster

Coupé, 2005

Highlights

  • Beige Interior
  • Manual
  • Desirable Colour Combination

Porsche’s second-generation Boxster expanded on the original’s already stellar abilities with an all-new interior, revised exterior styling, improved chassis, and more power. This first-year 987.1 Boxster S – finished in classic Basalt Black Metallic over a Sand Beige interior with a black top – features a 280 horsepower 3.2L flat-six-cylinder engine paired with a precise 6-speed manual transmission. An impressive modifications list is highlighted by a set of 18″ factory Porsche wheels, a Ben’s short-shifter assembly, and Soul Performance exhaust tips. Service performed by the seller totaling more than $8,000 includes refreshing the suspension, brakes, interior repairs, a new water pump, and more. This Boxster S is ready for the next owner to enjoy it as intended — with the sweet-sounding flat-six singing on twisty back roads.

Das Fahrzeug im Detail

After looking through dozens of Boxsters (seemingly all of them with black or gray interiors) I saw this beauty with a Sand Beige interior, and I fell head over heels. There were issues like broken/sticky switches and interior fittings, non-working lights and options, worn brakes, and the handling was not what it should be. That said, it was still the best handling car I had ever driven. After the 600 mile drive home I set out to put her back into proper shape. Which I did. This is a beautiful machine that looks, drives, and sounds great. Everything works as it should. Paint is glossy and body is excellent. There is no rust. Convertible top is excellent, as is interior. This car begs to be driven and I simply can’t do her justice. I’m hoping the next owner will drive the heck out of her.
