History Sold new at the factory to Mr Andrew Viviano Karlsruhe Germany. In December 1955. Till 1957 this early A stayed in Europe. The rest of his life the car spent in The USA.
Condition – Body and Paint: The car has all the standard 356 rust issues. Front fenders, Floors, rockers and some other rust spots. But the good thing is that it was not “restored” before. No patches, double floors or so. No signs of any major accidents. The front trunk still wears all the original isolation. It was born in white. De dash and the bumpers are still original.
Interior
This interior is completely original. The upholstery, the carpet, headliner, doorcards etc. Unique for a nearly 70 years old car. I would be nice if it could be saved. If not you will have a 100% correct example how it was delivered new.
The gauges, radio delete plate, steering wheel. Everything is still original.
Technical
The 1600 normal is all factory stock and matching.
The all original matching engine runs very good.
The gearbox shifts smooth in every gear.
Original gearbox.
This 356 is a very original example. The best start for a concours restoration.
This early A comes with:
Very early 356 A T1 project
