This is a Roadster 356B, chassis no.: 88871, released from Drauz on 31/12/1960. Sold in Florida (Brumos) USA in April 1961. Imported into Belgium in 1993 where it was registered, then became Luxembourgish, registered as S90 in 1997 following the transformations for competition, engine changed and preserved, for a 1720cc (base 912 – invoices Freisinger, Hoffmann). Sold in England in ’98 where maintenance continued. Back in Germany in 2015 where it is restored body/chassis and finds its original livery (6012D Royal Blue), registered as S90. Sold to the current owner autumn 2017 who continued optimization in Germany to the smallest details, mechanically and cosmetically. An extensive file documents the car’s history, including the original Kardex, invoices and number of photos.

I bought the car in 2017 after a long meticulous research to find a fully restored body/chassis example. The one presented here answered all criteria. The following year was dedicated to the improvement of everything that could be, mechanical, transmission, electric circuit, brakes, etc. These operations were carried out in Germany by a renown specialist looking only over the 356 line. Here are the main specifications :
– Engine : Ignition, Weber carburettors, booster pump, Sport exhaust system.
– Electrical : 12 volt system adapted to the whole car.
– Interior : Porsche bucket seats, windscreen new, Porsche US original wheel (wood)
– Accessories : original car jack, hand tools set, handbook, 4 Koni shocks
– Original type complete engine available, no guarantee about matching number
– The car is regularly used on small country trips by dry weather conditions. Current maintenance is entrusted to a Porsche dealer.
In substance, this roadster has been restored over the last years to the spirit of a genuine Porsche like it could have been achieved in the early sixties. This is a rare example meant to bring satisfaction for many years to a true and knowledgeable enthusiast.
