Porsche 356 SC

Now available from CPR Classic is this immaculate 1964 Porsche 356SC in Champagne Yellow (6205) over a black leather interior. This 356 went through a complete CPR Certified ground-up restoration to the highest standard and was completed less than one year ago. The car was then sold and delivered to one of our best clients in the Los Angeles area who drove the car sparingly over the past year. The car has returned to us in trade on another Porsche.

During this 356’s restoration, it was stripped to bare metal and found to have original metal with no prior rust, damage or filler anywhere. All gaps are in spec and pristine. Every panel on the car was in beautiful condition including its original floors, which are still in perfect shape with no prior damage. The car retains its original battery box as well with no corrosion prior to restoration. A comprehensive nut-and-bolt restoration was completed using many of the car’s original, restored components.

The vehicle in detail

The car was refinished in its factory Champagne Yellow with correct Glasurit 22 line paint. Following paint, the car was partially assembled before being delivered to Autobahn Interiors to have a complete interior installed including leather-upholstered front and rear seats, leather-upholstered door panels, German square-weave carpet, leather-upholstered dash and German ivory headliner. The car then returned to CPR and assembly was completed prior to the car being fully sorted and made ready for driving.

The car’s matching-numbers engine was completely overhauled with a Harry Pellow cam, 86mm pistons and cylinders, correct SC cylinder heads, and overhaul of the original Solex carburetors. The car is estimated to produce 110hp and is an incredible drive all around. It corners superbly with great steering feel thanks to new bushings, bearings, dampers and a rebuilt steering box. This SC is joyous to drive and is every bit as great behind the wheel as it is to look at.
