The restoration consisted in the removal of all the bodywork, mechanics, upholstery including the electrical wiring harnesses down to the smallest screws before being stripped, repaired to eliminate doubtful areas, treated with modern anti-corrosion products, then re-dressed and repainted.
The paint was very well applied with a color chosen by the owner in the AUDI/VW catalog. The result is a success. The fenders are bouncy, the front bumper has 2 holes to feed fresh air to the front brakes, the rear hood no longer has a liftable spoiler controlled by the oil pressure. On the other hand, it has a grille covered with a transparent panel in lexan.
The search for resemblance to a 911 2.5 ST goes as far as the use of a PORSCHE adhesive on the rear hood like the one from 1972. Note the green tinted windows with the heated rear window are all in very good condition, with soft seals.The lights, turn signals are like new with no defects.
The polyester front hood has a hole on the top to access the gas cap directly. No play in the opening-closing hinges, seals in good and regular condition.
