The new Porsche, of course, also served as an everyday car at the time, and of course all necessary repair and maintenance work was carried out promptly and completely.
This is particularly evidenced by the driver's logbook that the owner kept. The condition of the coupé was recorded in regular reports drawn up in 1996, 2010, 2016 and 2021.
In 1996 the 911 Carrera underwent a major overhaul. All work carried out at that time was documented in the report from 1996: All fenders and doors were renewed, the rest of the body was derusted and repaired and repainted. The engine and the gearbox were overhauled, the heating bulbs replaced, the alternator and starter, as well as the steering and cardan shafts replaced. Further work was carried out.
Before the overhaul, the Porsche had a mileage of 234,037 km, today just 238,800 km: after the overhaul, the 911 Carrera was no longer used by its owner for everyday use, but only for trips in the best weather conditions.
From 1996 until today the Carrera has been driven less than 5000 km by its owner.
The essential technical components as well as the body are therefore in a revised, new condition.
A current pressure loss test of the motor confirms this:

Even during a test drive, the Porsche Coupé showed no abnormalities. The mechanical double in-line injection pump works perfectly.

This Porsche 911 Carrera is no longer original as it was when it was delivered, but it is also not fully restored and so differs from many more commonly known restored and almost new sister models. The extensive documentation available also tells the story of this coupé with a real patina.
