The vehicle was delivered on September 12, 1986 (MY 1987) in Grand Prix white with black leather seats. According to the associated Porsche certificate, the car was ordered as "Porsche AG's own use", which explains the extensive equipment list:
According to the previous owner, a Porsche fan from the Stuttgart area, an engine revision was carried out at a speedometer of 110,000 km, in the course of which all wear parts were replaced. However, this is not supported by calculations.
At the end of 2014, the car came to its current owner in East Westphalia.
He, too, always took good care of him and had it regularly serviced at the experienced independent Porsche workshop Hartmann & Köster in Bielefeld. In order to maintain the reliability of the car and its value, he has invested more than 26,500 euros. All work is supported by invoices and included:
- a new windscreen
- new spreading discs
- Retrofitting and refilling the air conditioning system
- Dry ice radiation from the sub-floor
- Renewal of starter, alternator and battery
- Renewal of the seals
- repainting of the front
- new tyres
He also had the engine optimized at a mileage of 153,000 at the Porsche specialist Cartronic in Gummersbach. Among other things, a stainless steel sports catalytic converter and the LM32 engine kit were installed. As a result, the unit has a higher torque, better pull and good engine running. According to the magazine Motor Klassik, Walter Röhrl had this optimization carried out on his private 3.2-liter Carrera. Due to these changes, the car now has 245 HP (180 kW). Everything has been approved and registered by the TÜV. There is also an appraisal for approval with an H mark.
The original checkbook is available and has a total of 9 entries. Up to 1994 and 77,140 km, maintenance was carried out directly at Porsche in Stuttgart and then at two independent workshops in the Stuttgart area. The service in the past 5 years is also documented by the above invoices and will be added to the checkbook.
A special feature of this Targa is the transparent GTS-Top Targa roof. This was retrofitted and ensures an excellent view and more light inside the car in every season. With a total of € 6,750 an expensive but very worthwhile extra. The very well-preserved original vinyl targa roof is of course also included.
A great example with a very good equipment and extensively overhauled technology.
The car can be inspected at any time in 33415 Verl. A lifting platform is of course available for this.
