Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2

Coupé, 1985

Highlights

  • Extensive maintenance work completed
  • Nice color combination and features
  • Particularly suitable for tall drivers thanks to the lower seat consoles!

I am offering my 1985 3.2 Carrera Coupé in Meteor Metallic. The car is well maintained and maintained both technically and visually. This is a beautiful everyday classic with absolute road trip suitability. The technical features include an extensive overhaul two years ago including a transmission overhaul , replacement of the clutch and various axle wear parts including a new chassis. The car has also been converted to an original 4-piston brake system from Porsche on the front axle. There is also a discreet sports rear silencer with ABE installed.

The vehicle in detail

This 1985 3.2 Carrera Coupé in the timeless color combination of Meteor metallic and black leather is a perfect daily driver with excellent long-distance suitability. A big special feature is that we have specially prepared this car for tall drivers by changing the seat consoles. We have lowered the seats by approx. 5 cm and moved them further back by more than 5 cm, so even tall drivers can sit relaxed.
VEHICLE HISTORY
The vehicle was first delivered to the USA in 1985. It ran there throughout its life in the sun-drenched state of California. The extensive CarFax Vehicle History Report has 37 entries and completely documents the history of this Carrera between 1990 and 2020.

In an old sales advertisement from the USA, the vehicle description is as follows:
This 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera with sunroof is in very good condition. While it has higher mileage (201k), this car is mechanically sound and has been very well maintained by PCA (Porsche Club of America) member. I have attended many concour Porsche Club of America events with it, although it has not been raced/tracked.
Always garaged and hand detailed, no oil leaks with a very clean interior/exterior. Car has service history records dating back to mid 90's. All service done by respected Porsche Repair Shop (Don's AutoWerks). Over $8k on maintenance completed 08/08; Complete Rebuilt 915 Transmission, New Clutch, New Fly Wheel, New Starter, New Battery and 15K maintenance: Oil Change, Valve Adjustment, replaced distributor, spark plugs and wires.
Pre Purchase Inspection welcomed at potential new owner's expense.
When exported back to Germany, the vehicle had a mileage of 229,000 miles, making it an excellent example of the longevity of classic Porsches.
In 2021, we brought this car back to Germany and, after it arrived in our workshop, it was technically and visually revised for the current owner. A full restoration was not necessary, which is why the vehicle is currently in a very authentic and original condition.
