911 conversions to turbo body and convertible exist quite a few in the market ...
The client of this WLS I convertible built with ORIGINAL PORSCHE parts wanted to get as close as possible to the legendary 10 993 TURBO convertibles that had rolled off the production line in Zuffenhausen at the time and that, as is well known, were ordered by MAHAG in Munich. These original bi-turbo convertibles were last traded at prices between € 900,000 and € 1.2 million.
In 2005 , the wealthy Frenchman commissioned the air-cooled Porsche specialist Vincent Caridi and his company TSC in charming Provence to turn his dream into reality, regardless of the cost. According to the present invoice, the conversion costs alone amounted to € 71,600 without including the basic vehicles a 993 C4 Cabriolet (German initial registration) and a 993 Turbo Coupé. A separate Porsche checkbook has been kept since the rebuilding.
Classic Data report key values:
Motor M64 / 60 with 316 kw (registered and approved)
Manual transmission G64 / 51
Turbo braking system
Turbo stabilizers and braking system
Body with original turbo side panels, sills, front and rear sections
Very good gap dimensions and accuracy of fit of the body parts .
Today the turbo-convertible has belonged to the considerable Porsche collection of our customer since 2012, who had the turbo engine completely overhauled at Porsche with an invoice of € 17,000 a few years ago and only 6 tkm . In addition, the convertible top was completely renewed in 2018 for € 3,000 . In the previous year - just under 1 km ago - the front axle was extensively optimized and all 4 brakes renewed . Here too, of course, the invoices are available.
Thus, the turbo convertible is technically and visually on a very neat and up-to-date service stand and not a show mobile waiting for its new owner with a surprising maintenance backlog ...
As expected, the 993 BiTurbo Cabriolet impresses with a rapid advance that we have never seen before in an air-cooled 911 Cabriolet. The two turbochargers whistle so brightly and completely unfiltered directly behind the passengers when the roof is open that one is afraid. The WLS was never a novice car. But in this TURBO convertible you think you are being chased by a jet. Almost breathtaking. Sorry .. No more crushing.
Let yourself be surprised and try to put this experienced force into words yourself. We are excited.
Of course, there is a complete history of the vehicle since the reconstruction in 2005 as well as a large color report from the sports car newspaper RS Magazin from 2005.
This vehicle is owned by the customer and is being sold privately on their behalf.
