A 911S 2.0 Targa from 1969 with 170 hp in the rare original color Bahama yellow is being sold here. In this variant there are only 614 copies. This model is characterized by the fact that after the soft-window model up to 1968 from 1969 the first model with a long wheelbase had a fixed rear window and the S model had a mechanical injection pump. The 1970 model range differs by the 2.2 engine. The 911 comes from the USA and has been in Germany since 2016.
In addition to the "matching numbers", the Porsche certificate (birth certificate) confirms the US first delivery with the first original invoice date (May 14, 1969 Volkswagen of America, USA), as well as the technical condition and the individual equipment.
The complete car was restored using as many original parts as possible and worked up where necessary and has TÜV/AU including H license plate.
The following parts are new: complete exhaust system including heat exchanger, chassis (shock absorbers, paddock, wishbones, wheel bearings), brake system (including brake shoes, discs and lines), petrol tank, fuel pump and lines, tires, window and door rubber seals, wiring harness.
The following parts were restored: complete engine (including new parts such as alternator, injectors, injection lines, cylinder heads including new valves, pistons and cylinders, ignition system, conversion to hydraulic chain tensioner, gearbox (including new gearbox bearings, synchronizer rings, gears, drive shafts), steering gear , rims, speedometer and instruments, door locks and handles (galvanized), Targa roof.
All the work on the vehicle was documented in a photo book.
In total, more than 70,000 euros were invested in the restoration.
