The “S” version for Sport of the 911 had, following various engine modifications, a power of 160hp at first, then 190hp towards the end. In addition to improved equipment, the S model was the first 911 to be equipped with “Fuchs” wheels with a characteristic 5-spoke design. Its handling was improved by a better weight distribution, 42% at the front, 58% at the rear, and wider wheels and tires. Capable of covering kilometers at high speed with legendary reliability but also performing and efficient in competition, the 911 has become a highly appreciated Swiss Army knife among gentlemen drivers.

The 911 2.2 S features golden lettering on the rear hood, providing additional distinction to the sporty version.
