The colour Minerva Blue Metallic is reasonably unique. This “Sonderfarbe” was delivered at extra cost on request of the customer. The car is also fitted with a sliding roof. A lot of money and energy has been invested in the mechanicals of this 911. The power still comes from the same engine as the one with which the car was originally delivered. However, the magnesium crank case that is mounted on this type of 911 has caused problems over time, with the material becoming brittle under certain circumstances, and that is what happened to this example. Revision of the original crank case was such a big and expensive intervention that it was decided to have a reputable Porsche specialist from Indianapolis assemble a correct exchange part. To avoid problems in the future, this crank case was modified before it was fitted. The way in which this repair was carried out was the most logical and effective solution, but, on the downside, it meant that the engine number, which was imprinted on the crank case, is no longer correct. The stack of bills for repair and maintenance mentioned earlier testifies to the love that was put into this car. Not only was the engine overhauled, but work was also carried out on the gearbox, the brakes, the steering gear box, the K-Jetronic, a new interior and many other things. Not long ago, the car got new tires and new Billstein shock absorbers. This beautiful 911 2.7S is a feast for the driver and for the eyes. It has a Dutch license plate.
