Porsche 911 T

Porsche 911 T

Targa, 1971

Highlights

  • Original Fuchs rims
  • Stainless steel exhaust & rear apron
  • Rare Sportomatic transmission with automatic clutch

The original model of the 911 in its most beautiful body shape - as a Targa convertible, with a folding roof, aluminum roll bar and a permanently installed large glass rear window. According to the birth certificate, this copy was delivered to the Porsche Center North Rhine in Düsseldorf on February 17, 1971, with Fuchs rims (M400), comfort equipment (M470) and the gearbox 905/20, a four-speed gearbox with torque converter. The automatic clutch called Sportomatic is still on board, as is the original six-cylinder boxer engine. In combination, this makes the vehicle extremely rare - in Germany there are only about a dozen F models with Sportomatic transmissions.

In the course of a complete restoration in the summer of 1984 by a VW / Porsche company in Osnabrück, the body was repainted from the original light yellow paint (Porsche color 6210) to Carrera white (908) and the seating system was covered with leather. The engine and transmission were overhauled on the occasion. Another overhaul of the entire engine took place in 1993. The vehicle has been in my possession for 10 years, the owner in front of it moved and looked after the car for a total of 22 years.
The vehicle is a real enthusiast vehicle that has been regularly serviced by the same workshop for 30 years. In recent years, the Targa roof and the rear silencer have been renewed, the seats upholstered and new shock and steering dampers installed. The vehicle mastered numerous uses at the classic car rally reliably and with good results.

The vehicle is sold together with extensive file material and numerous original spare parts as well as an appraisal report due to time constraints: I am unfortunately no longer able to move this wonderfully elegant vehicle regularly.
