1972 Porsche 911T coupe, 2.4L MFI “Ölklappe”
This car has been my labour of love since I imported it from Canada back in 2009.
It’s an early MY72 US model with mechanical fuel injection, manufactured in September 1971.
Orginal specifications according to Porsche:
Type: 911114= 911 T/E coupe
Engine type: 911/51
Transmission type: 915/02
Original color: 117 Hellgelb (light yellow)
Interior: Kunstleder schwartz
Seats: Kunstleder schwartz
Production date: Sept. 1971
US delivered (believed to be a California car as per window sticker)
Options:
400 : 6×15 alloy wheels (Fuchs)
440: Antenna left fender + loudspeaker
470: comfort equipment
569: tinted windows
650: electric sunroof
As stated, orginally delivered in light yellow, but painted black at some point back in the 80’ties. The paintwork is actually very well done and the overall look and finish is of a high standard.
The car has over the years been lightly restored and recomissioned with countless of hours and some 10K € spend, all documented with photos and a binder of invoices.
Today the car is mechanically very well sorted, rustfree, 100% complete and with a very good finish and patina inside and out.
It drives beautifully as in its heydays on a fully revised supsension, the engine is crisp and powerful and the gearbox smooth with the right amont of “915 quirkiness”. Absolutely ready to be enjoyed for years to come.
It was duly inspected, MOT’ed and road registred in Denmark in Aug. 2022 and comes with a current Danish title and a copy of the clean Canadian title.
