History: The Porsche 912 SWB (Short Wheelbase) was launched in 1965 as a more affordable alternative to the new 911, featuring the latter’s bodywork but with the 4-cylinder engine from the 356 SC. Produced with this short wheelbase until 1968, it offered a more balanced weight distribution and remarkable agility thanks to its lighter engine than the Flat-6. It was an immediate commercial success, even outselling the 911 in its early days, before its chassis was lengthened in 1969 to improve stability. This car was delivered new to the United States. The car is now located in Belgium.
