Its low weight (only 1,180 kg) distributed equally by the two axles (49/51), together with the 2.0 liter turbocharged 210 bhp intercooler, make the 924 Carrera GT a full member of the Carrera clan – or had not been it was produced for the purpose of homologating 924 for the competition. Whoever drove it highlights the excellent driving position and overall behavior. Acutilating, frank and fun to explore.
A model that despite all its sporting genesis continues to be an excellent companion of trip or day to day. Another of the qualities pointed to 924 is the reliability of all the components and the relatively cheap maintenance. In the same sense, wrote the Italian magazine “Ruoteclassiche” in August 2004.
This unit (in the pictures) has only 56,000km rotated and maintains the original patine. It is fully documented (revision book and complete history) and does not denounce the 35 years of life at any point of the body while maintaining – 924 was the first automobile in history to resort to the technique of hot dip galvanizing.
