In addition, a previous engine repair had not been carried out very carefully. After a long search, I managed to secure a new set of oversize pistons, the engine was reassembled and fitted with an electronic ignition. Due to various circumstances, the car was not ready until the beginning of this year, was MOT approved and has already clocked up its first few kilometres. The Carrera GT has low mileage, partly due to the long idle time, which, considering the condition of the interior and exterior (only the roof and bonnet have ever been painted, as far as measurable). There is plenty of history available such as various invoices and the original stamped service booklet that substantiate the mileage!
Equipment
This 924 Carrera GT is fitted ex-factory with:
- 16-inch Fuchs (7 and 8 inches wide) with 205-55 and 225-50 tyres, respectively
- Removable roof panel
- Air conditioning (removed, A/C pump is included with sale)
- Blaupunkt Heidelberg RCM 40 with anti-theft card

Notes
The car shows signs of use, but is rust free and mostly in first paint. As with almost all CGTs, the fitted polyurethane parts show some function due to age. The engine has recently been fitted with new (forged) pistons and has carefully made its first few hundred kilometres. At 13,657km, the counter was replaced by Porsche Stuttgart in 1982. Just before the last engine overhaul, the counter failed again at 69,935km in 2013. This was repaired at Porsche Gelderland on 16 March this year.
Actual mileage is around 83,700km. There is a recent Valuation Report available for 90,000 Euros.
