It was supplied new with factory air conditioning, electric sports seats, sunroof, windows, mirrors and 16” wheels. However, these have since been upgraded to the 17” cup one variant of the 1992 models. It was supplied by us in both 2016 at 108,000 miles and again in 2020 with 109,000 miles and has only covered 1,000 miles since as well as being fitted with the Porsche Classic Radio and a Momo Mod. 08 Steering wheel.
It is supplied with a continuous Porsche/ Porsche specialist service history, including a top end engine rebuild 6,000 miles ago. Today, the condition of the whole car throughout is still quite remarkable and certainly will not disappoint if you have been searching for that upper tier example.
In 1989, Porsche introduced the first major change to the 911 with the launch of the 964, still looking like a 911 it was claimed by Porsche to feature 87% all new components over the outgoing 3.2 Carrera. The 911 was traditionally a 2wd car, but this new 964 initially featured a new 4wd driveline and a powerful 3.6 twin plug engine, with a 2wd variant following shortly afterwards.
New coil sprung suspension, ABS and power steering offered a significantly modern driving experience over the outgoing Carrera, whilst performance was brisk too with 0-60mph coming up in 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 162mph, figures that are still respectable today.
Fast forward 30 years and the 964 looks like a classic 911, being the last to feature the upright headlamps, however, with modern underpinnings, it offers a refined driving experience.
