Porsche 964 Carrera RS America

Porsche 964 Carrera RS America

Coupé, 1993

  • Professionally built GT car!
  • Full racing cage!
  • Cosmetically in excellent condition

After the widespread success of the 964 Carrera RS in the European market, 911 enthusiasts in the USA demanded a lightweight, no-frills 964 model of their own.  With the guidance of racing legend Vic Elford, Porsche set out to satisfy this demand by creating a track oriented, lightweight car based on the Carrera 2 which would be dubbed “RS America”.  This vehicle would serve as the perfect platform for a competitive racer and accordingly, many have been converted to full GT race cars.  Converted from stock in 2010, this highly built 1993 RS GT conversion was created by Rothsport’s Racing Shop.  Featuring an endless list of racing modifications and showing 49,647 miles on the odometer, this all-business race car is being offered for auction in excellent, turn-key condition by its seller in Monterey, CA.
