Created as something of a ‘greatest hits’ collection from Porsche’s options list, the Carrera GTS takes the standard Carrera S and adds the wider body from the Carrera 4, the optional ‘Power Kit’ engine upgrade and a number other popular extras, including the Sport Chrono Plus package, sports exhaust system and the PASM active suspension system.
This UK-market right-hand drive example was first registered on 3 March 2015, and has two previous keepers. It is now offered for sale by its current owner, who acquired it one year ago.
Finished in Porsche’s classic hue of Guards Red, the bodywork presents very well, with smooth panels and flush shut lines. The seller states that the finish is in excellent condition and is fully covered with paint protection film to shield it against stone chips and scratches.
A satin black wrap has also been applied to the roof; however this is on top of the existing PPF, removing the risk of any damage to the paintwork. This 911 rides on a set of 20-inch satin black alloy wheels, which are in generally good order, although there are some kerbing marks on each. The centre-lock nuts present well, but their finish has worn slightly.
Rather than being partially clad in Alcantara, this car’s cabin has been upgraded to the full black leather option, which covers the sport seats, upper dashboard and door panels, and which is accented by contrast stitching. Overall, the interior presents very well, with minimal wear.
Factory-fitted equipment includes full electric adjustment and heating for the front seats, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, adaptive headlights and the cruise control system. All of the interior switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.
This handsome 911’s last routine maintenance was carried out in December 2019 at approximately 13,000 miles by Porsche Silverstone. Its first biennial service was carried out in March 2017.
The most recent MOT test was conducted on 9 November 2020 at 18,493 miles, where it achieved a first-time pass, with the tester noting wear to both rear tyres as advisories.
All four wheels are shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres. The 245/35 ZR20 front items have around 4.5mm of tread remaining, while 3.5mm remains on the 305/30 ZR20 rears – the latter will benefit from replacement soon, per the MOT tester’s note.
This Porsche 911 Carrera GTS combines impressive pace with high levels of comfort and daily usability. Finished in a vibrant factory colour and featuring a very well-appointed cabin, this is a superb sports car that would be a thrilling companion on adventurous road trips, but which is equally at home on the morning commute.
