1996 Porsch 993 Carrera Targa

This superb Porsche 993 Targa is one of the first Targa models to leave the Stuttgart factory (1996 vintage with “short” 6-speed manual gearbox) and has been configured for fast and classy grand touring: arctic silver exterior, black interior with extended soft leather pack, comfort seats, sound pack with original CDR21 stereo, on-board computer, air conditioning, rear wiper, 17-inch special Targa wheels, healthy 285hp varioram engine.

The vehicle in detail

An enthusiast’s car that has known only 3 owners from new, this Targa is in outstanding cosmetic (exterior and interior) and mechanical condition owing to a truly meticulous maintenance. The invoice history is complete from the initial delivery in one of Belgium’s most prominent Porsche dealers. Having been driven mostly on open roads and motorways (almost no city driving), the car has benefited from a yearly inspection under my ownership since 2010 and notably received a beautiful complete exterior paint job in 2016 (to correct minor imperfections due to mileage) as well as an engine renovation in 2022. The Targa roof and sunshade are in perfect working order. The original Targa alloys are in beautiful condition giving the car even more class.

The latest technical inspection (legal requirement every second year in France) and mechanical maintenance check were both completed in July 2024. The car is ready to hit the road and will give you a great deal of pleasure. As a famous American comedian and Porsche collector once put it, you really feel like you are a jet fighter pilot in this car, with the amazing Targa “bubble” surrounding you and roaring engine behind you!
