Originally supplied in August 1996 by Merlin Nottingham Pendragon Motor Group, this well specified 993 Carrera 2 manual is finished in the desirable colour combination of iris blue with marble leather interior and features the later 285BHP varioram engine with a 6-speed manual gearbox. It is fitted with 18” Turbo twist alloys and a split vein rear grill from the C2S to give a more aggressive appearance.
In 2014 at 117,000 miles it had significant refurbishment with Paul Stephens at circa £20,000, including a top end engine rebuild to ensure it could be used as a daily driver. Today this is still a very presentable and mechanically sound example with all the expensive work carried out just 13,000 miles ago, giving peace of mind for its next custodian.
On the road it may come as no surprise that this 993 hides its 25 years of age and 130,000 recorded miles with remarkable ease, still feeling taught, powerful and agile, whilst modern features such as ABS, power steering, air-bags and air conditioning ensure it is a modern classic that can still be used as Porsche intended.
