Today, look no further, there is no known mass-produced car with air cooling. So let’s go back to the old days when changing the coolant of a Porsche 911 was not part of the maintenance.
The 911 Carrera 4S, which appeared in 1995, takes this effect to the extreme with a sensuality that is irresistible. Indeed, it has much of the turbo-look of the beautiful 993 Turbo. The spoiler and rocker panels are sportier and the ride height has been lowered by 10 mm at the front and 20 mm at the rear, a way to highlight the 18″ wheels that are those of a 993 Turbo, behind which you can admire the red brake calipers, also from the Turbo.
The ignition key is still on the left side of the steering wheel and the layout of the dials and controls on the dashboard and center console seem very outdated in terms of design. And yet, everything is in the right place and easy to access! Moreover, the finish and the quality of the materials are exceptional. Note that the 4S benefits from the Turbo’s finish and equipment, which makes it a more upscale and sporty looking model.
The present example, which has only known 4 owners, is distinguished by its exceptional configuration, its perfect aesthetic and mechanical condition, but also by the presence of its original booklet stamped since it left the factory in 1996.
The Cobalt Blue color (L37U) is applied on the bodywork as well as on the 18″ Turbo wheels (XD9) which makes it a nice option to stand out during gatherings. Inside, the first owner was not stingy when ordering with a consequent list of options reinforcing the quality of finish and the atmosphere on board, With the counters encircled with leather, the dashboard in extended leather, the counters taking the grey color (TF) of the leather covering the seats which are electrically heated and whose lumbar are adjustable.
All the equipment is fully functional up to the CD loader and the Nokia sound system allowing to make long trips in a remarkable comfort.
