Porsche could not and did not want to comply with this request, however, the company Freisinger responded to this request and built three vehicles. A car in red, one in black and this car in silver. "We built this car uncompromisingly, it was the best," recalls Mr. Freisinger today.
The base of the silver-colored RSR is identical to the base of racing cars. All 993 RSR was namely provided at the company Matter near Karlsruhe with a safety cage, also the RSR "Freisinger".
The assembly then took place at the company Freisinger. All components including the faithfully reconstructed RSR engine and the straight-toothed gearbox were purchased from Porsche (documents available). The parts package has a value of about 150,000 euros.
As basis for the street legal admission a US-delivered 993 (documents available) was used.
