First registered on 26 August 1996, this 993 Turbo was specified with Polar Silver paintwork over a Midnight Blue leather interior and features a factory-fitted power sunroof, top-tinted windscreen, rear wiper and high-level brake light. The log book shows six previous registered keepers. It has been in the seller’s private collection for the last eight months, carefully stored during this time, and is only offered for sale as he has just acquired a 993 Turbo S.
The flowing, iconic bodywork of this 993 Turbo is described by the seller as being in excellent condition, with no accident damage or dents to any of the panels. The Polar Silver paintwork presents extremely well, and is smooth and even across the entire car. The only imperfections of note are some very minor stone chips to the lower half of the bonnet, commensurate with the car’s age. It rides on the original 18-inch silver-finished ‘Turbo Twist’ alloy wheels, which are in pristine condition and are free of any marks, scratches or kerb damage.
Turning to the interior, swathes of Midnight Blue leather cover most of the surfaces, including the ‘hardback’ Sport seats, rear seats, dashboard and upper door cards. Blue carpeting is fitted throughout the cabin, creating a cohesive colour-scheme. The cabin is free of any marks, scuffs or damage, with the only fault noted by the seller being very slight wear to the driver’s seat bolster, which is consistent with this 993’s mileage.
This example has also been fitted with a number of optional extras from the factory, including an open five-disc CD holder fitted behind the handbrake lever, cruise control and a power sunroof, allowing fresh air into the cabin during spirited summer drives. All of the switchgear works as it should with no known electrical faults. At the front, the boot carpet is in excellent condition, and the original red space-saver spare wheel is present.
The most recent scheduled maintenance was carried out in March 2019 by Porsche specialist AW Motorsport of Southbourne, West Sussex. This consisted of a full service including replacement of engine and gearbox oils, air and fuel filters, and the spark plugs. Prior to this, the car was serviced in December 2017 and November 2016 where the engine oil and filters were replaced, with less than 2,000 miles between services.
The most recent MOT test took place on 21 March 2019 at 51,506 miles, which it passed first time without any advisory notes. A new test was due on 20 March 2020, which is currently being arranged by the seller, following the fitment of a new battery.
Its wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Rosso tyres, measuring 225/40 ZR18 at the front and 285/30 ZR18 in the rear. The front items were replaced in 2016 and the rears in 2018, with all four described as being in excellent condition.
The car is offered with its original owner’s manual, stamped service book, and the majority of its MOT certificates, as well as invoices and receipts for past maintenance work, plus the full original tool roll.
Presented in superbly original and unmodified condition, this Porsche 993 Turbo is a low-mileage example of one of the most sought-after modern classic 911s. With an excellent service history and an appealing factory colour scheme, this thrilling sports car is ready to excite and delight its next owner.
