The arrival of the 996 generation of the Porsche 911 was quite a shock, as the change in style was so radical that even the new and revolutionary technical approach of the model went unnoticed . Which was quite an irony, because after more than 30 years on the market, the 911 enjoyed for the first time dimensions different from those of its predecessors thanks to its totally new platform, in which we find a new generation of 6 cylinders cooled by water (water-cooled), instead of having the traditional cooling by air (air-cooled).
