What supports the ‘smart investment’ is the fact that this magnificent car has passed the 111 point check at Porsche Centrum Rotterdam with flying colours. Except for regular maintenance details. After all, you can put a 911 away for years – which is what the former owner did, things like tyres, brakes, fluids and filters suffer despite a lot of standstill.
Although ‘suffering’ is a big word, because the GT3 Clubsport has really had a lice life so far. The car was originally delivered in Sweden and perfectly maintained at the Porsche dealer until it moved to the Netherlands in 2016. The service history is included, but the background of the model itself is also worthwhile: this is in fact the last, at Porsche MotorSport in Weissach, handmade creation of Porsche’s motorsport department. It is also the first water-cooled 911; together with the extremely strong Mezger engine it is an extremely reliable and unbeatable combination in racing.
The lightweight GT3 may be the most stripped down version of the Porsche 996, but the exterior shows something else. In fact, the serious slimming treatment seems to have made the Irisblau 911 thicker than thick. A hefty front spoiler, huge sideskirts and huge fixed rear spoiler typify the racy looks of the purest 996 MK1. So there’s no passing by unnoticed, or the difference in speed must be that big…
Inside, the Porsche GT3 also offers more versus less weight. After all, Clubsport is a real package: bucket seats, six-point seatbelts, a roll cage and a fire extinguisher have found their way to the otherwise very Spartan 911 interior. So what makes it Spartan? The sound insulation has been almost completely removed and the rear seats, rear loudspeakers and sliding roof are also conspicuous by their absence.
As a GT3 the indestructible 3.6 litre Mezger 6-cylinder boxer engine kicks it up to 360 hp, without the help of turbos and with single mass flywheel (exclusive for Clubsport). A top speed of 302 km/h is therefore within reach and the 0-100 km/h sprint only takes 4.8 seconds. Even more impressive is the way this 996.1 handles its power: handling is sublime and grip seems unlimited. In short, a real track boss for the streets.
Points of attention: some gravel on the front bumper, bonnet and side skirts. The Porsche has recently had regular maintenance. Brake discs, pads and tyres still need to be replaced. This has been deliberately omitted so that the new owner can choose the ones he or she wants. Furthermore normal traces of use, belonging to mileage.
Inspection: of course every inspection is allowed, so that purchase can be made with 100% certainty. Also possible after a test drive.
Financing: financial lease possible. I work closely with recognised leasing parties and will be happy to advise you.
Insurance: if desired, we can also provide tailor-made insurance.
