What We Like
Ferdinand Porsche engineered cars to be driven regularly; reportedly 70% of all Porsche sports cars are still on the road. This accident-free, mechanically-stock, 104k-mile Carrera S is a testament to Porsche’s engineering prowess and build quality. A classic color combination of GT Silver Metallic over a Cocoa Special Leather interior encompasses desirable options, including the Sport Chrono Package Plus, power seats with memory, Bose Surround Sound System, 19-inch wheels, and more. Long-term California ownership and service records since 2012 offer reassurance to buyers that this example was well cared-for. This 911 is ready to cover many more miles and look good doing it.
From The Seller
“Only selling due to impending move to Minnesota. I bought this no excuses 997.1 911S with Sport Chrono Plus a year ago and haven’t really properly enjoyed it, but here I am parting with it. It’s a no-rust California car its entire life, and an amazing example of a well cared for 997.1 911 S. Despite the mileage, I think it presents far lower. I have records dating back about a decade or so, and recently had various age-related work performed. It should be ready to go for the next enthusiast to enjoy the heck out of it.”
Vehicle History & Overview
Per the included accident-free Carfax report, this 997 C2S was sold to its first California-based owner in February 2005. The second California-based owner purchased the car in February 2015 and the seller acquired it in November 2021. This C2S is believed to be mechanically stock and features many desirable factory options as noted in the Equipment section. Service records since 2012 are included and detailed in the Servicing & Documentation section. The owner’s manuals, window sticker, a battery tender, and two keys are included.
The 997-chassis Porsche 911 Carrera S was produced for the 2005-2012 model years and is regarded by many as a return-to-form for the modern 911. The 2005 “S” variant offered here received a larger 3.8L flat-six rated at 355 horsepower. That power is delivered through a 6-speed manual transaxle and distributed via an electronically assisted limited-slip differential. Porsche Stability Management helps keep things pointed in the right direction. The 997 blends modern technology with Porsche tradition to create a contemporary yet analog driving experience.
