Initially registered on 3 June 1999, this Boxster has just one previous keeper on the log book, who owned it for the first five months. From November 1999 until very recently, it was owned by its second private owner, and it is now offered for sale by the trade.
Finished in the striking shade of Ocean Jade metallic, this Boxster’s paintwork is in excellent overall for its age, showing the benefits of being routinely stored indoors. The paintwork is believed to be original throughout, with the only blemishes noted being some small marks on the nearside front bumper – clearly shown in the photo gallery – which has been touched in with the correct paint shade.
The Porsche also retains its simple five-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, which are in good condition with only minor discolouration of the centre caps. The black electrically-operated fabric soft top fits snugly to the frame when raised and stows away neatly, and its plastic rear screen remains clear. The optional colour-coded hardtop is also included, and is in excellent condition.
Inside, the Porsche’s black leather interior is in superb order, reflecting its gentle and sparing use to date. Save for minor marks and surface scratches to the outer bolsters, both seats are in very good order, with no heavy wear or discolouration. The steering wheel, gearstick and handbrake lever are likewise is good condition. The vendor reports no known faults with the vehicle, and there are no warning lights on the dashboard.
The most recent service was carried out in May 2015 at 15,046 miles, though the car has covered less than 500 miles since then. There are seven prior stamps in the maintenance record covering the period from 2000 to 2009. The vendor notes that the car will also be freshly serviced before handover to the next owner.
The most recent MOT test was on 20 May 2020 at 15,376 miles. This was a first-time pass with zero advisories. It is fitted with Rapid tyres on the front axle and Continental SportContact items at the rear, all of which are said to have a good level of tread remaining.
Offering a strong specification with high originality and exceptionally low mileage, this Porsche Boxster is a very smart example of the class-leading sports car of the millennium era. While this example is ready to be enjoyed on the next owner’s favourite roads, it is also a great candidate for a dedicated marque collection.
