In the early 1990s, Porsche decided to develop support vehicles for its rally and racing activities. They decided to implant a Porsche 3.2 l engine and upgraded the car with Porsche technology.
This VW T3 followed the same concept. The base vehicle was delivered and registered in early 1984. Allegedly the car was originally delivered in red.
The renovation took place as early as 1987 and was carried out in Germany. A Porsche 3.0 SC engine was implanted, a Porsche 915 gearbox was installed and the Fuchswheels were installed. The chassis came from Projectzwo, as did the body extensions.
Everything was approved and individually approved in Germany. When the current owner found the car, it was already painted in post yellow.
Since he is a child of the eighties, what else can you do with an already yellow T3? Give it the characteristic look of the TV show Magnum PI. This was done with adhesive film, which can easily be removed if desired.
The car is not only street legal in Germany, but also in Austria, where it is currently registered.
The mechanical components are all functional, but the interior requires further attention and can be expanded according to your wishes. Original Porsche seats are included for the driver and front passenger. Door handles, rear bumper, are all included in the sale.
The car is also equipped with a Westfalia tow hook.
The body is very straight and we didn't find any rusty spots. We also found no signs of an accident. The varnish thickness is good considering it had a layer of yellow over the original red and then the extra foil.
