Driving along the Côte d’Azur in a classic or modern Porsche sports car is an experience in itself. When father and son experience this journey together, lifelong memories are created. Which is exactly what drives Happy Few Racing. The event professionals are dedicated to a series of rallies and in 2023, with the Vater+Sohn, German for father & son, have organized a special rally. It is exclusively for Porsche driving father & son duos.

This automotive dream is garnished with a very special combination of vehicles and a multi-day rally around Monte Carlo. Vater+Sohn of Happy Few Racing offers a total of 50 teams the opportunity to participate in one of the most exclusive driving events ever.

Vater+Sohn offers a three-day rally and exclusive ambience in the heart of Monte Carlo

It is always difficult to identify the origin of a passion or a memory, the moments that amplified them. But thinking about it, our memory always sends us back to very specific events. Like our other events, Vater+Sohn™ will for sure be one of them:

Vater+Sohn means: 50 teams – 25 classic, 25 modern Porsche sports cars

Right from this first edition, Vater+Sohn is limited to 50 crews, divided according to a very simple rule: 25 classic and 25 modern Porsche sports cars. There will be no model twice at the rally. Such a variety of Porsches is not often seen in life! The regularity test will of course be divided according to the classes. So in addition to the overall classification, there will also be a class classification.

Vater+Sohn’s program

Vater+Sohn takes place in three days, from Friday to Sunday. It combines art of living, delicacies, driving pleasure, privileged moments between father and son, meetings and friendships. In its conception, Happy Few Racing is obsessed with offering the best. Whether it is an impeccable organization, moments that punctuate the stay, but also the pleasure at the wheel or the panoramas.

Friday, October 6th, 2023

You will arrive at the Hermitage Hotel, right in the heart of Monte Carlo’s Golden Square. Your first day’s program consists of the welcome, the preparation of the cars and the opening cocktail. At check-in you will receive all the important information, the crew pack and in the evening you will meet the other participants at dinner.

Saturday, October 7th, 2023

The next day, a carefully prepared route awaits the father and son teams. After breakfast, it’s off to the briefing and then straight onto the road. During the day, two stages and the regularity test have to be mastered. An exclusive stopover awaits the participants for lunch.

Saturday is demanding for drivers and co-drivers. Because the regularity test depends on a smooth right foot and good handling of the stopwatch. Not at all easy with the beautiful panoramas of the French Riviera distracting you. In the late afternoon, it’s back to the Principality. At dinner in the evening, the experiences can be shared and the new contacts deepened.

There will also be a survey to choose the coolest car around. After all participants gave their vote, the the “best” car will be crowned. So an exciting vehicle choice is doubly worthwhile.

Sunday, October 8th, 2023

On its third day, Vater+Sohn also awaits the teams with a driving stage and a regularity test. The rally will run until midday. At the end of this three days, the teams will have covered a total of 400 exciting kilometers. The award ceremony will take place after lunch. But not only the best in the regularity classification will receive prizes. There will also be a survey to choose the coolest car around. After all participants gave their vote, the “best” car will be crowned. So an exciting vehicle choice is doubly worthwhile.

Rally experience is not necessary for Vater+Sohn

With Vater+Soon, you don’t have to be a professional. Everyone has a chance to win. We are well aware of the fact that some co-pilots can be young or slightly less young, but equally inexperienced. They don’t need any special equipment either. A little skill with a calculator and common sense is quite enough.

With the help of the roadbook, which you will receive at the start, you will cover a certain distance. Your time on the track results in the average speed. In order to win the race, the subsequent average speed over the various time segments must be as close as possible to the initial average. It’s quite simple, only the exact location of each finish line remains secret!

Happy Few Racing offers you an all-round carefree package

The Vater+Sohn package includes all services around the event. Overnight stays in a five-star hotel and top-level catering for all meals with drinks is included in the price. There are no hidden costs for the participants. In addition, each team will receive a crew package. In it you will find, among other things, the entry pass, the start number stickers, the road book and a limited, numbered print of the event poster designed by Michele Leonello.

The all-round carefree package from Vater+Sohn naturally also includes an organization team that is always on hand and even offers technical support. You don’t have to worry about anything. Several photographers on site will care about the event’s documentation, so you don’t have to. This allows you to soak up and enjoy all the impressions to the fullest.

The cost of the total package is 5,900 euros per crew, i.e. two people and one car. Individualizations of the stay, such as arrival on Thursday and an additional overnight stay on Sunday are possible for a fee. Just indicate these wishes in your application. Also the start number can be chosen individually.
