Collection by Vermant’ is proud to offer you this Porsche 996 4S from April 2004. It’s a model with its ‘matching numbers’ 3.6L strong 6-cylinder, good for 320hp. This power is transmitted to the 4 wheels by means of a manual 6 speed gearbox. The car was delivered new on May 3, 2004 by Porsche centre Essen and executed in Arctic Silver Metallic and a black leather interior.

With the Porsche 911 – Type 996, a new era in the life of the world’s most famous sports car began. After 35 years of production, Porsche took a new direction with the fifth generation of the 911. Radical changes forced themselves upon it. Not only the design and chassis were to undergo radical changes, but also the motorisation was to undergo drastic changes. Stricter emission standards and the achievement of maximum power would mean that the power source would no longer be air-cooled, but water-cooled.

The 996 was presented to the general public at the 1997 Frankfurt motor show and although the new design was not immediately enthusiastically received by the purists, the new ‘elf’ would stand his ground. From 1998 it was available as a rear-wheel drive coupe and equipped with a 3.4L water-cooled boxer engine, good for 300hp.

From 2002 a second generation of the 996 followed and the car was further developed. The interior was updated and the cylinder capacity was increased by 200cc. A ‘Targa’ and four wheel drive ‘4S’ version were added to the range.

The 996 4S got the same suspension, braking system and body as the Turbo.
