1958 Porsche 356A Outlaw Coupe

A beautiful 356A T2 Coupe that has been tastefully modified to a mild “outlaw” and has received numerous upgrades. Finished in Ivory with a Red interior and is considered by many enthusiasts to be the best ‘classic look’ of the 356-model line.

The Ivory (5704) paintwork is in very nice condition including the brightwork, rubber, and trim. The exterior features sealed beam US H4 headlights, European bumpers, painted steel 4 ½” x 15” wheels with Michelin 185 HR 15 tires (date coded 2019.)

Le véhicule en détail

The louvered engine lid, Stinger exhaust, and Marchal driving lights, add to the outlaw character along with the rare side vent windows. The interior features Speedster seats upholstered in red with black racing seat belts, Oatmeal German square weave carpets, 1957 Deutsche Sportswagen Meister Schaften Badge, an original VDM steering wheel, a deluxe horn ring, Ivory knobs, Ivory radio deletion plate, black factory rubber mats, and rear luggage straps.

Mechanically powered by an upgraded performance 1720cc air-cooled, flat-four engine (engine No. 67733) which drives power to the rear wheels via a four-speed manual transmission with four-wheel drum brakes. Steering was improved with an upgraded ZF steering box. A complete engine rebuild was performed in August of 2020 including big-bore JE forged pistons and aluminum cylinders, Solex 40II carburetors, a lighted 180mm flywheel, cad-plated hardware, and powder-coated engine tin. The engine is very powerful producing approximately 100hp.

The sale of this 1958 mildly-modified 356A Coupe, located in California, will include a clear California title, numerous receipts from 2017-2022, and a stock rear deck lid. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire a 356A Outlaw Coupe that is a pleasure to drive!
