Finished in the original color combination Silver Metallic (608) with a Red leatherette per the Certificate of Authenticity. Beautiful paint with nice chrome and exterior trim. The interior was recently reupholstery, featuring red comfort seats with red corduroy seat inserts and red German square weave carpets. Additional interior components include date-coded (9/57) seat hinges, VDO instrumentation, a second-hand clock, a day/night rearview mirror, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM Radio. The fuel tank and fuel-sending unit are also date-coded 9/57. The undercarriage is nicely detailed and is solid and rust-free.

European Collectibles sold this 356 three years ago to the past owner, who has enjoyed it at local 356 Club of Southern California events. This 356A Coupe was recently driven in the Palm to Pines Palm Springs event and has been driven multiple times back and forth from Palm Springs to Los Angeles. Very well-sorted 356 that is ready to enjoy.

Mechanically powered by its matching 1600cc flat-four Normal engine producing 60 horsepower that runs flawlessly paired to a manual 4-speed transmission (Type 644) with a four-wheel hydraulic drum brake system that stops the 356 perfectly. The top end of the engine was rebuilt with new rod bearings, new pistons and cylinders, rebuilt cylinder heads, and all the sheet metal was powered coated and reassembled. A new clutch and pressure plate were installed, and the flywheel was surfaced and balanced. Complete with spare tire, jack, tool kit, owner’s manual, and Certificate of Authenticity. The 356A Coupes have become extremely hard to find. Great opportunity to purchase a very desirable color combination 356A T2 Coupe that is a pleasure to drive!
