Features of the Porsche 356 A 1600 Convertible D

Weight: Approximately 950 kg, making it a light and agile sports car.
Exterior: Independent bumpers with bumper guards, curved one-piece windshield, teardrop taillights with integrated turn signals, and a fabric hood with a flexible plastic rear window.
Interior: Deluxe trim with wind-up windows, higher windshield, and a more comfortable interior than the Speedster.
Production: Of the 1,331 units produced

History and Popularity
The Convertible D was introduced as a premium version of the Speedster, offering more comfort and practicality. Although externally very similar to the Speedster, it offers a higher degree of usability for everyday use. The name “Convertible D” was only established later; the first 14 units had the inscription “Speedster D” on the front fender.
