Offered here is a very fine example of a left-hand-drive Porsche 356 A 1600 Speedster from 1957, retaining its original engine and gearbox and boasting coachwork by Stuttgart’s coachwork builder Reutter & Co. The car presents in excellent condition and is reported to drive very well indeed. This charming car has been carefully maintained by its current custodian since 2011 and is very appealing in its lovely colour combination of ivory exterior with red leatherette interior.

Equipped with a manual gearbox, 165 R15 tyres, and comfort seat options, this Speedster was comprehensively restored in the United States between 2004 and 2008. More recently, it has been extensively mechanically overhauled by Porsche Classic, Stuttgart, with no expense spared. The engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, shock absorbers, engine compartment, electrics, and axles have all been attended to. This is documented with invoices and numerous photos from Porsche Classic, and this work amounted to almost €40,000.

This handsome 356 Speedster is ideal for travelling, rallies, and other classic-car events. The current owner has participated in many important rallies, and the car is offered with a FIVA passport (A3) and is equipped inside with rally instruments. Fresh from its recent annual service, this car would make a fine addition to any collection.
