Porsche 356B (T5) Roadster 1960

This rare model Porsche 356 Roadster, of which only 2,902 were produced, represents the ultimate evolution of the mythical Speedster. Most classic Porsche enthusiasts agree that the ‘B’ T5 Roadster is the most elegant open 2-seater Porsche 356 has to offer. The sports car sensations of the spartan Speedster are yours but thanks to a slightly higher windscreen, wind-up side windows and more comfortable seats, you will enjoy extra comfort.

According to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, this ‘Drauz’ Roadster was produced on 28 August 1960 and immediately shipped to Hoffman Motors in New York, USA. Chassis #88122 was finished in ‘Ruby Red’ with a light grey interior. Little is known about the car’s early history, but after a nut & bolt restoration – completed in 2018 – the car was registered in the Netherlands. The restoration was completed with an eye for precision and originality, returning the car to its original color combinations.

While still matching numbers & colors, according to the certificate of authenticity, this Roadster is absolutely a pleasure to drive ! Perfect handling, good power, meticulous steering, effective brakes (front drums !), no rattles at all !

Since its restoration the car has only driven 950km…

The car comes with:

– A copy of the Kardex & Certificate of Authenticity.

– Dutch Registration documents

– A Dutch Technical Inspection document + RDW ‘Car Pass’

– Correspondence from 1978
