The 718 generation Boxster was introduced in 2016. It saw the transition from a naturally aspirated flat-six to a turbocharged flat-four. The GTS variant featured a 361 bhp, 2.5-liter turbocharged flat-four, capable of achieving zero-to-60-mph in around four seconds.
Performance aside, the car on offer represents a unique opportunity. It was highly optioned for its first and only owner, a VIP Porsche client. Few if any Boxsters are given treatment from Porsche Exclusive and the famous ‘Special Wishes’ department. Much like the owner’s 991 Arrow Blue GT3, also part of the auction, this build is a result of a collaboration with the Exclusive Department to make the owner’s dream a reality. As a testament to that collaboration, Jan Richter, one of the Porsche Exclusive executives, oversaw the production of this GTS, later singing and dating the car under the front hood.
With a starting price of $82,800, the 718 Boxster GTS lived at the top of the Boxster price sheet. This car, after totaling all the options, came to a staggering $121,215. An impressive $20,255 alone was spent on ‘Special Wishes’ options, making this a truly one-off example. Some of those custom features include seat bolsters in Bordeaux Red, GT Silver stitching, Porsche script in high gloss red/black, hood in high gloss black, and carbon fiber shifter and steering wheel, just to name a few. To date, the car has covered less than 800 miles. This Boxster is ready for its next owner to log many more miles in this incredibly special GTS.
