2025 is the last production year for the 718 platform and Porsche has really saved the best for last. The 718 platform has given us fantastic cars in both GTS and GT4, but an RS badge had to wait until 2023. But oh oh oh… how special it turned out. The power package was lifted from the sister car GT3 but in its new 718 home an interesting problem was presented. The intake. The Gt3 engine could have breathed through the side intakes that are normally used for this in the GT4, but Porsche instead chose to place a snorkel behind the driver and passenger window, an intake that then shares its place in the car with the passengers.

Behind the heads on both sides runs the large carbon fiber box, drowning the interior in an intake sound that is completely unmatched in the automotive industry today. The interior is otherwise familiar from the ‘regular’ GT4, albeit dressed in black leather with parts in alcantara. Elements in blue shine through in the seats and are highlighted in seams, belts and loops for the door handles. Along the door sides and instrument panel runs carbon fiber decor with a ‘Weissach’ emblem on the passenger side. Something that is also sewn into the headrests. The carbon fiber shell seats are equipped with 6-point belts on both sides.

The exterior goes in elegant Gentian Blue Metallic. A deep blue color that here shares space with parts in carbon fiber thanks to its Weissach package. Hood, intake over rear fenders and wing blades part of the dark blue paint with carbon fiber fabric. The exterior is dramatic with a well-proportioned splitter, ventilation from the wheel arches over the front fenders and a prominent rear diffuser that also houses the exhaust system. The car is protected from stone chips over most of the exterior.
