The Porsche 718 Cayman GTS 4.0, a long name for a small car, but what a special car it is. Specified here in Guards Red exterior with black 20″ wheels. A sporty exterior, fitting a car that focuses on driving pleasure. Something that becomes apparent as soon as you take a seat. The interior is covered in Leather and Alcantara, GTS stitched in the headrests. The cockpit feels tight and built around the driver. In front of you, a RaceTex steering wheel and in the middle, a six speed manual gearbox. The 4 liter GTS is without a doubt a very special car and something that we most likely will never experience again. Its a small, light car that combines a 4 liter NA six cylinder engine, taken from its big brother with a nimble mid engined layout. We could write for hours on how much we appreciate the 718 GTS but the truth is that it needs to be experienced.

This example is sold new in Sweden and remains with its first owner.

Since launch Porsche midengined cars have taken a backseat to their big brother, the 911. Maybe not officially but still. Known as « the cayman complex » to describe the lingering feeling that the « baby »-porsche never got the same engines and as much power as its bigger brother as this would make it a superior car, beeing mid engined.

In 2015 everything changed however with the launch of the GT4. The car that gave us it all and was instantly meet with praise. But when Porsche then launched the 718 as a strict 4 cylinder vehicle it felt like a step back, although the engines had a mid range that was missing on the 981. Then came the second gen GT4, this time with a 4 liter engine and shorthly there after the new GTS which to everybody surprise came with the same 4 liter 6 cylinder engine.
