Porsche 718 Spyder RS

The Porsche 718 Spyder RS ​​was officially unveiled in May 2023 in Atlanta. This is the most radical version of the 718 range, crowning the Boxster family with a model focused on performance. It marks a significant milestone in the history of Porsche mid-engine sports cars, integrating for the first time in the 718 Spyder range a naturally aspirated engine derived directly from the 911 GT3. Designed to offer an optimal compromise between lightness, driving precision, and pure performance, the Spyder RS ​​is aimed at enthusiasts looking for a road-legal car that’s also built for the track.

The optional Weissach Package reinforces the radical character of the 718 Spyder RS ​​by adding exposed carbon elements to the hood, air intakes, and spoiler, while also integrating a lighter titanium roll cage and specific titanium exhaust tailpipes. The interior features an extensive Race-Tex finish. This package also offers the option of optional forged magnesium wheels, further reducing weight without affecting pure performance.

The 718 Spyder RS ​​is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six developing 500 hp at 8,400 rpm and 450 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. This engine is paired exclusively with a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. Thanks to a DIN curb weight reduced to 1,410 kg, the car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds and reaches a top speed of 192 mph. Aerodynamics have also been optimized, notably with a fixed rear wing inspired by the GT3’s « swan-neck » style, providing maximum downforce.
