HISTORY FILE

Initially finding it’s first owner in October of 1985, this SC would go on to enjoy a regular service routine up until it’s current transformation.

With an incredible paperwork trail of works and invoicing dating back to 1987, this example was sourced and selected for a total overhaul to bespoke specification which started in 2022. Riviera Autobody would be charged to finesse the car alongside proven specialists Northway Porsche using OEM equipment and established suppliers over the last 3 years. With enormous investment to research to improve this wonderful Targa backdate nearly every nut, bolt and washer was replaced.

EXTERIOR
Originally starting life as an SC, this breath-taking Targa backdate has been subject to a comprehensive overhaul by the owner of emerging marque specialists – Riviera Autobody. As something of a showcase for the company, Riviera left no stone unturned with the painstaking hours and attention to detail invested in this stunning carbon body resto-modification. Draped in a classic Slate Grey colourway the bodywork shines beautifully throughout with a smooth and swirl-free finish, accentuating the purposeful stance of one of the marques purest silhouettes. With fine detail aplenty – Targa signatures adorn the rear engine cover and brushed B pillars looking just right accompanied by brushed aluminum fuel and oil filler caps. Porsche script to the side completes a well thought out design study.

As you will note from the extensive equipment list, all fixtures and fittings have been stripped and replaced with new parts to compliment the perfect paintwork.

INTERIOR
A combination of custom and OEM parts collide to create a wonderful cabin space utilising the very best materials available. The interior overhaul features a splendid pair of seats trimmed in Bengal Red Nappa leather with the distinctive concept extended to both the rear seats, door cards, dash and freshly installed Coco mats. A dished Momo wheel sits in front of custom backdated clocks from Stuttgart Classica leaving the driver in no doubt to the authenticity of this retro-modern inspired special.

A Wevo shifter sits pride of place connected to a 915 ‘box, whilst new carpet throughout remains immaculate – even in around the front boot area shrouding the new fuel tank and filler cap; attention to detail has been paramount.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Now with a 964 3.6 at it’s heart, engine and drivetrain have some of the most renowned modifications going. The fully rebuilt engine, ECU and wiring harness is from Heritage Autowerks – complimented by a rebuilt 915 gearbox, Quaife LSD and a Patrick Motorsport clutch. With custom manifolds and a bespoke exhaust system from TEC the car certainly sounds and goes as well as it looks.

Northway Porsche assumed engineering installation and servicing since conception and have carried out myriad works to ensure the car drives as new. With the last service carried out in May of 2025, which included fitting motorsport seals and cam cover gaskets, the car is on the button and ready to go.

WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Naturally Fuchs were the inspiration for these wonderful Billet Image wheels – 9 x 17 and a huge 11 inch at the rear. Finished in Black with Anodised Satin inner and outer rims the condition remains excellent wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 4 rubber.

The braking system has been completely overhauled with new hardware throughout and performs as it should with fantastic feel and performance.
