1984 Porsche 911 Long Hood Backdate for sale!

Based on a 1984 911 Carrera chassis, this 911 was dismantled, stripped to bare metal, and backdated to an early-style long hood. This was achieved through using ST steel flared fenders as well as proper early-type “911 long hood.” Additional modifications include the corners in fiberglass, the rear bumper is a 3 piece with steel center section and metal bumper guards, an early-style turn signal, and a polished rear grill. Once the metalwork was completed, the car was refinished in Olive (color code 3939). All gaskets, rubber seals, and felts were replaced during assembly. 15” MiniLite wheels are finished in silver with staggered Michelin TB15 tires. The undercarriage is completely original and is solid and rust-free.

The cabin features black leather ST-style seats with corduroy inserts along with matching leather interior panels, Haargan carpeting, leather-wrapped MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and refurbished VDO instrumentation with the 1970s silver center-dots and early-style orange needle pointers. A hidden Griffiths air conditioning system blows ice cold and has a new evaporator, dual condensers, and barrier lines.

The 3.2-liter flat-six was rebuilt by Black Forest Automotive of San Diego, California, and modified with 10:1 compression with JE pistons, Webcam 20/21 camshafts, ARP rod bolts, and the cylinder heads were refurbished by Supertec with new rocker arms. The cooling tin was powder-coated, all the engine hardware was re-plated, the fuel injectors were cleaned, and the chassis fuel lines were replaced. An M&K 70mm stainless-steel exhaust was fitted along with SSI heat exchangers, an Elephant Racing crossover pipe, and high-clearance oil lines. A 930 braking system was also installed. The suspension modifications include Smart Racing sway bars, Elephant Racing von shocks coil-overs, RSR front strut housings, and rear RSR strut tower gussets. The factory 915 five-speed manual transaxle was upgraded with ZF limited-slip differential.

Complete with photo documentation of the build, factory smog equipment on the side, and a clean California title. No stone was left unturned to create a 911 experience that is fast, fun, and reliable.
