In 2017 a very good customer of ours purchased a 1984 Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera in order to build the 911 of his dreams.

The donor car was in excellent condition, with no previous damage or repair and no rust. It was completely dismantled and stripped to bare metal. The front fenders, front hood, rear hood and bumpers were replaced with carbon fiber and kevlar parts made by D. Moris Styling. All the gaskets and moldings were changed and door and frames and door handles were anodized by Spino D’Adda.

The engine was completely rebuilt by Franco Voletto’s EffeEffe workshop in Turin: increased to 3.4 liters, specific camshafts, hot-wire flow meter, FVD Super Sound manifolds and exhaust. It delivers 270 hp at 5,800 rpm and 335 Nm at 5,200 rpm.

The original 915 gearbox has been overhauled, equipped with a limited slip differential (43 teeth), 8:35 pinion and crown, lightened flywheel and clutch by Sachs, short gear lever in aluminum by Wevo.

The chassis is the original one from the 3.3 Turbo: hubs, discs, calipers, torsion and anti-roll bars and Billstein shock absorbers. Steering arms and camber plate tuned for a lowered vehicle and mounted on uniball and Powerflex. The 16″ Fuchs rims are the original ones, restored with anodized petals.

The interior was redone by La Perfetta upholstery in Padua, with a leather-covered dashboard, Deser replica seats, gear lever and Wevo door handles. The front headlights are from Rennline.

The result is awesome: 270 hp on a weight of 995 kg! This 911 Backdate has traveled about 5,500 km after the restoration. All the works are precisely documented with photographs and invoices. The total cost of the “restoration” has largely exceeded 150 thousand euros.
